1. Introduction

Thanks for visiting the official Ikson website and these Terms of Use.

If you intend to use my (”Ikson”) or any affiliated parties (”Collaborators”) music through the offered services on this website, please read the specific terms listed in these Terms carefully, along with any affiliated policy guidelines.

What’s described in these texts will affect your legal rights. Therefore if you do not consent to the listed specifications, do not interact with this website and the services that I offer.

It will be granted that anyone interacting with this website or utilizing its services (”USER”) has read and accepted the terms and policies listed herein.

You understand that changes may be made to any terms or policies at any time by Ikson or affiliated partners. Please check these regularly or take part of the Newsletter where eventual updates will be described.

These permissions and prohibitions, will apply to anyone who interacts with this website or uses Ikson’s original work or promoted music.

www.ikson.com is a site intended to host, describe and promote everything Ikson, on the web. This includes online music catalogue services through which Ikson, via his sub-brand TELL YOUR STORY music by ikson™ will make digital music files of original music available for the purpose of usage in audiovisual and/or other productions (NOT MUSIC PRODUCTION), under the terms and conditions as set out herein and any applicable music license agreement/s or policies.

These permissions and prohibitions, will apply to anyone who interacts with or uses Ikson’s original work or promoted music.

Any content which has utilised Ikson’s services and/or music before the existence of this website and its services, are applicable to previous Terms of Use. Which in summary since 2017 have been:

• The music can be used for free in normal or monetised content on video sharing platforms, social media and podcasts, if proper credit is given in video descriptions or natively via platforms own music credit systems.
• The music can be edited to fit your content but can not be altered to the point where it doesn’t resemble the original work.
• The music can NOT be used in other music, in any way, unless Ikson has given personal explicit permission.
• Buying the music externally does not grant usage rights. (but supports my efforts, thank you!)
• Ikson reserves the right to revoke usage permissions for anyone regardless of infringements should he see fit, without liability.
• Ikson should not be held liable for any loss of revenue for users due to copyright infringements inflicted on his original work, but should seek to deal with this asap always.

Those pointers are still actual and further specific details are given in the Usage Policy.

2. Description of Service

Please note that I reserve the right to add or remove functionalities or features of the Services, and I may suspend or stop a Service altogether, including, for example, if you do not comply with these Terms or if Ikson is investigating suspected misconduct.

3. Ownership / Copyright 

Ikson is (unless otherwise is stated) the sole creator and copyright owner of all original music presented on this website, and therefore have the right to grant the permissions specified for any music usage.

In music presented on the website (specifically with regards to the offered library music service) where Ikson is not involved OR is one of multiple copyright owners involved on a included piece of music, agreements will have been made between the involved creative parties declaring that Ikson has the full legal right to publish and utilize said music through the presented services offered on this website, and monetise accordingly.

I arrange, produce, mix and master my music with purchased/licensed software by the following companies:

I also utilise either my own recordings, sound design, samples from Splice or purchased sample packs. 

Samples from Splice will most often be modified and combined to the point of being indistinguishable from the original sound, for the sake of originality and to avoid copyright systems to match it with others artists work, in which the same Sample/s might have been used.

In the rare case that it is not modified and the music is therefore at risk of being misdetected as others music by online platforms own copyright systems, this will not affect your usage rights granted by Ikson due to Splice’s Terms of Use section: 3.1.1.1 New Recordings (non-exclusive samples).**

Should any such incident happen Ikson should not be held liable for any losses but will seek to assist accordingly as the copyright owner to find a solution as fast as possible.

Ikson may periodically include TELL YOUR STORY releases in Content ID for verification of legal usage in adherence with the Usage Policy. If you have followed the Usage Policy reach out to contact@iksonmusic.com with video links and Ikson will assist as soon as possible so that any copyright claim is removed. 

4. TELL YOUR STORY 

TELL YOUR STORY music by ikson™ is a sub-brand of Ikson, that aspires to assist people in telling their stories online, through providing original music that is free to use on Youtube/Social Media as long as credit is given.

All music released via this brand and offered through the affiliated online music catalogue services on this website, is copyrighted. However legal permission is granted to anyone who follows the Usage Policy.

 

Violation of any policy or malicious utilisation of the offered services might lead to the termination of your account and legal consequences. The scope of those consequences are reserved Ikson on a case by case basis.

Anyone who utilises the music offered via TELL YOUR STORY music by ikson™  grants Ikson the right to showcase and promote them and their usage via this website, affiliated social media and or other media. For example; parties who has used Ikson’s music grants permission to Ikson to feature them under Creators section of this website, or via Storyteller of the Week, with imagery, video and social links. Utilisation of aforementioned music in ones content is also done on the users discretion. Ikson is not and should not be held accountable for any economical loss due to copyright issues, including muted videos, on the internet, but will seek to assist and amend such situations asap if possible. 

Through using the music you grant Ikson the right to use official media and imagery from your website, Youtube or social media accounts for this promotion.

Limits will be placed on the Music Library in regards to play or downloadability off the presented music. Any attempts to bypass or surpass these limits will be except from Ikson’s usage permissions.

 

I do not allow any third party to use any of my music to train AI models.
